Silver Springs State Park and Bobby Genovese will be hosting a July 4th celebration on Saturday July 4, 2015. The event will include a number of family-friendly events and activities and will raise awareness for the local veterans agency, Savingsoldierslives.com (SSL).

Festivities for “Rock the Springs” will begin at 3 PM. The event is free with State Park Admission Fee ($8 per carload for up to 8 people). The event schedule includes stilt walkers, live music, inflatable attractions, festival games, sky jumpers, vendors, a patriotic tribute and a free fireworks show which will begin at 8:45 PM. Guests will also be able to enjoy the standard daily activities at Silver Springs: from the 30-minute Glass Bottom Boat Rides to scenic tours of the property and kayak and canoe rental options until dark.

“This will be the best 4th of July celebration in Marion County,” says Genovese, Chairman of BG Capital Group and BG Signature. “The schedule of events coupled with the ambiance Silver Springs State Park naturally provides is the recipe for a great day. We are thrilled to be bringing this event to our community and to be generating awareness of the great mission of SSL.”

Many visitor Services at Silver Springs State Park are operated through a concessionary partnership with Silver Springs Management, Inc., concessions are managed by BG Silver Springs. Silver Springs is managed and protected by the Florida Department of Environmental Protection’s State Park Service.

“Rock the Springs” will benefit SSL, an organization focused on helping soldiers transition back into society. SSL is founded on the belief of people helping people. In turn, the agency provides the necessary resources and appropriate networks to soldiers in need. Whether the need is physical, emotion or mental, SSL generates opportunities and makes the appropriate connections for the soldiers who have fought for our freedom.
