Explore the beauty of Natural Florida by hitting the river and paddling along the Silver River and Fort King Waterway in a kayak or a canoe.  Kayaks and canoes are available for rental from Paddling Adventures at Silver Springs State Park, the official onsite outfitter. Guided paddles are available for groups or for individual excursions.

We welcome you to explore the breathtaking beauty of the Silver Springs State Park up close by taking to the water in our kayaks or canoes.

Kayak and canoe hours: 8 am – 4 pm (last rental is at 3 pm). Vessels must be returned to the launch area no later than 4 pm. Open 7 days a week year-round, including holidays.

Rentals are available on a first come, first served basis. Reservations are not necessary for individual or small group rentals of 9 or fewer boats.

We do not allow pets on board rental kayaks or canoes, unless the animal has proper identification as a service animal.

Rent by the day or by the hour:
Last rental is at 3 pm. All rentals must be back by 4 pm.

Canoe or Tandem (two person) Kayak:
$20 for one hour, $30 for two hours, Full Day rental for $45.

New! Clear bottom tandem Kayaks $30 for one hour, $40 for two hours.

Full day rental with transportation from Ray Wayside Park: $50

Single Kayak:
$15 for the first hour, $20 for two hours, Full Day rental for $30

Full day rental with transportation from Ray Wayside Park: $35

Stand Up Paddle Boards:

$20 for one hour, $30 for two hours, Full Day rental for $45.

Full day rental with transportation from Ray Wayside Park: $50

In order to participate in this activity, one: Must have the ability to enter and exit the canoe/kayak independently or with the assistance of a companion, remain seated and balanced, using adaptive support if needed, paddle canoe/kayak through the water in a stable and controlled manner independently or with the assistance of a companion. In the event of a capsize, one must have the ability to get out from under the watercraft independently and right oneself and remain face up in the water with the aid of a personal flotation device. Must have the ability to follow verbal and/or visual instructions independently or with the assistance of a companion. Must have the ability to withstand exposure to the outdoors for as long as one chooses to attend. Must have the ability to traverse uneven and unstable terrain for up to 1000 feet independently or with the assistance of a companion.
