Who says  education can't be fun? Silver Springs is the natural place for unique field trips and up-close encounters with nature and native wildlife. So plan a day that will get the whole class talking. A special 20-minute presentation can also be scheduled.

Meet the animails - Pre k to grade 1
An interactive presentation that teaches students how to make observations and recognize differences between animals.

Where animals live - Grades 2 & 3
An interactive presentation that showcases Florida’s natural habitats and the wide variety of animals that live in them.
INCLUDES PRESENTATION WITH ALLIGATORS AND REPTILES

Wildlife conservation - Grades 4 & 5
A hands-on presentationon the importance of protecting Florida’s delicate wildlife and natural habitats, and how easily they are impacted by man.

Ssssnakes - Grades 6 to 8
A close look at non-venomous snakes, the variety of species and their important role in the balance of nature.

Using limited natural resources - Grades 9 to 12
A presentation on Florida’s freshwater aquifer, how it’s being used and affected by development, and its importance to the state’s growing population.

Help Celebrate Earth Day Green Day
A lively, interactive family adventure combining engaging music, energetic, physical movement, and colorful sets with science "fun facts" and the wonders of biological, earth and physical sciences. Featuring the six-foot-six, blue eyed tree frog and his irrepressible creator, Wendy Whitten, 'The Singing Scientist,' the show engages youngsters' natural curiosity and stimulates their vivid imaginations, while inspiring them to learn more about science through what they've seen and heard.

Come to Silver Springs’ Earth Day/Green Day and learn about Florida’s native wildlife and precious natural resources. Participate in exciting hands-on presentations featuring live mammals, reptiles and birds, watch free-flying birds of prey demonstrate their amazing hunting skills and browse among exhibits hosted by experts offering information and material in the fields of wildlife education, energy conservation and natural resources. In addition, Silver Springs’ world famous Glass Bottom Boats and other rides, shows and attractions are available for your enjoyment.

RESERVATIONS:
Make your group reservation by calling Silver Springs¹ Education Department, two weeks in advance. Your school must be accredited.To make a school group reservation for Silver Springs’

COMPLETE THIS RESERVATION FORM.


CURRICULUM PACKET:
Receive your Silver Springs curriculum packet that includes confirmation information, map, helpful hints, admission tally sheet and itinerary.

PRESENTATIONS:
Nature Education Programs (those that meet Sunshine State Standards and FCAT Testing Standards) are available by reservation only and require a minimum of 35 people per group. (See special rate information below.)

RATES:
Self-Guided Tour: Receive the Education group rate by filling out the Reservation Form; a minimum of 15 people per group is required in order to obtain this rate. Groups receive one FREE chaperone admission per every 15 paid students. Additional chaperones pay $8 rate.

FORMAL PRESENTATIONS :
Receive the Education group rate by filling out the Reservation Form; a minimum of 35 people per group is required in order to reserve a presentation time. Groups receive one FREE chaperone admission per every 15 paid students. Additional chaperones pay $9 rate.

MEALS:
Add-on Hot Dog meals require advance reservations. The cost is $4.50 per person. Outside food and drink are not permitted in Silver Springs. Picnic areas are located outside the main gate. Guests may exit and re-enter the park with hand-stamp.

PAYMENTS:
Please pay on the day of your visit with ONE PAYMENT for your entire group. Payment may be made with cash, check or credit card (Discover, Mastercard, Visa or American Express). Please make checks payable to Silver Springs. Purchase orders must be pre-approved. To receive tax exemption, payment must include a copy of your tax-exempt certificate. Advance payment accepted.

BUSES:
Buses park FREE and bus drivers receive a complimentary admission.
Individual cars pay $7 parking fee.

CANCELLATIONS:
If it rains on the day of your visit and you wish to cancel, please call so that we may reschedule your group for another day. There are no rain checks after you enter the park.

CHECK-IN:
Check-in by 9:30 am required for the 10:00 am formal presentation.
